Top Travel and Local Apps on Android in France, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in France showed varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Polarsteps Travel saw an impressive rise in weekly downloads, peaking at around 45.5K in late July, before declining to approximately 24.6K by the end of September. Active users for the app increased significantly in July, reaching a high of about 661K, followed by a gradual decline to roughly 348K by the close of the quarter.

Airbnb experienced a steady download rate, starting at 29.1K in early July and ending at 22.2K in late September. Active users peaked at approximately 3.1M in late July, with a decline to around 2M by the end of the quarter.

SNCF Connect: Trains & routes maintained a steady increase in downloads, culminating in approximately 28.9K by the end of September. Active user numbers showed an upward trend, starting from 3.8M in early July and reaching nearly 3.8M again by late September.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel began the quarter with downloads at 26.4K, which gradually decreased to around 21.1K by the end of September. Active users started at 2.2M, peaking at around 2.6M in August, before declining to about 1.8M by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, GetYourGuide: Travel & Tickets witnessed a peak in downloads at 21.9K in late July, which later decreased to about 13K by the end of September. Active users showed a rise to 285K in mid-August, with a subsequent decline to approximately 152K by quarter's end.
